Terms & Conditions
Customer satisfaction is paramount to me. My sincere wish is that you are completely satisfied with your purchase of unique jewellery. I make every attempt to ensure that our online catalogue is as accurate and complete as possible. In order to give you the opportunity to view Jewellery by Linda products in great detail, some products may appear larger or smaller than their actual size in my photographs; and since every computer monitor is set differently, colour and size may slightly. If, however, you are unhappy with any aspect of my service or jewellery, or if you change your mind, please read my terms, set out below:
By submitting an order to Jewellery by Linda, you are entering into a contract with me to supply you with handmade jewellery items as described in the product details. This contract will become binding upon you placing your order. By clicking the Checkout button, you are agreeing to pay for the items in your cart.
All jewellery sold by Jewellery by Linda is handmade by me, Linda Bonnington.
Free gifts will be chosen by me solely at my discretion.
Offers can not be used in conjunction with any other Jewellery by Linda offer unless specifically stated. I reserve the right to amend or withdraw any offer at any time.
Secure Checkout ProcessYour order will be processed by Shopify E-Commerce Solutions, my PCI Compliant secure cart software host.
For your convenience, I offer you two ways to pay. Both options are secure, with full industry standard PCI compliance and fraud protection. You can either use:
Checkout Button (with major credit cards)
I accept major credit cards, as shown on the website via Shopify payments powered by Stripe without you needing to set up a Paypal account.
Just use your Paypal user name and password to checkout directly with your Paypal account, this process is managed by Paypal.
I have no access to any of your bank or credit card details. Only your name, email and the delivery address you provide are available to me.
You can return to www.jewellerybylinda.co.uk after completing payment of your order by clicking on the link shown at that stage.
Please contact me if you would like any more information about this or experience any difficulties during checkout.
You do not need to have an account to buy from Jewellery By Linda, although benefits are to be had if you create one.
Should you wish to set up a customer account, you can do so by clicking the ‘Create an Account’ link at the top right of any page of the website.
As a customer account holder you will be able to check the status of your current and previous orders online and you will receive customer account holder benefits.

I will not share any of your customer account details with any other parties, unless required to do so by law enforcement authorities, etc.
Benefits of a Customer Account

If you need an order by a specific date then please contact me and I will try my best to accommodate you.
PLEASE NOTE: I can not be held responsible for any delay in receipt of your jewellery once I have posted it. Please make sure you order in plenty of time especially during holiday periods.
I take special care to ensure that your jewellery reaches you safely, and in a timely manner. I really want you to have your jewellery as soon as possible so please ensure that the delivery details you provide with your order are accurate as I cannot be held responsible for non-delivery of orders when incorrect address details have been provided. Orders will be sent to the address provided on the order and refunds will not be given if the address provided is incorrect.

You will be kept up to date with the progress of your order through email. If you need an order by a specific date then please contact me and I will try my best to accommodate you.
Bespoke items - I will give you an estimated delivery time for bespoke orders once the final design has been agreed.
Please contact me if you require more information or have any other queries.
If you need to cancel an order then please contact me as soon as possible and before the item is dispatched. If it is not a custom order then a full refund will be issued, if it is a custom order that work has already been started on then a partial refund will be processed. If the order has already been dispatched then a refund will be issued when the piece has been returned in accordance with the details below and in the Jewellery by Linda returns policy.
If you change your mind
I offer a 30 day money back guarantee from the day you receive your jewellery. See below for exceptions.
Contact me in writing or by email within 14 days of receipt of your jewellery if you change your mind. You must download and complete the cancellation/returns form (click here for the form), and send it to me by mail or email within 14 days of receipt of your jewellery. I will then send you an email agreeing the return. I will issue you a refund of the cost of the order within 14 days of agreeing the return in writing, or by email.
Please see ‘Exceptions’ below.
If your jewellery is faulty/damaged
I package your jewellery personally and take the utmost care to ensure that it leaves me in tip top condition. If the jewellery is damaged in transit please contact me within 3 working days of receipt by you, in writing or by email.
I will offer, by email, either a full refund, exchange or repair. I will consider these instances on a case by case basis. In the case of damaged or faulty goods I will refund you the cost of your return postage once I receive the returned item.
If the order is for Bespoke/Custom Jewellery
For orders of bespoke/custom jewellery please contact me to discuss your requirements and agree details. Bespoke/custom jewellery is subject to a deposit the amount of which will be agreed during our initial conversation or shortly thereafter, and which will be non-refundable. Payment of the balance will be required prior to me shipping your jewellery.
Where full payment for bespoke/custom items is not received within 5 working days of sending you confirmation that the jewellery is ready for despatch, I will be entitled to assume that the order is cancelled. In such case, I will retain the deposit to cover my costs, including materials. Where non-payment of the full amount is due to particular circumstances then, wholly at my discretion, I may keep the item until such time as you are ready to finalise payment.
For bespoke/custom orders you will be able to cancel your order, by emailing me, up to the point when the deposit is paid; once the deposit is paid and I have confirmed receipt of the deposit we will be in agreement that I have begun the design/creation process. If you do decide to cancel after I have begun the design/creation process then the initial deposit is non-refundable. For bespoke/custom orders which have been completed, no refund will be given as these are not a re-saleable item.
When a refund is agreed
I will send you a refund within 14 days of my receipt of the cancellation/returns form from you, provided that I receive the goods back within that time.
All I request is that you take reasonable care of the jewellery until it is returned to me.
Any goods must be returned to me securely wrapped, in the original packaging including the gift box, satin pouch, etc.
I recommend returning goods by Royal Mail special delivery as any damages or losses incurred during return may mean I am unable to refund you. As a minimum I recommend that signed for postage with suitable insurance cover be used.
You will be responsible for the cost of returning the jewellery to me.
Any orders which are not collected from the post office or sorting office and are subsequently returned to sender will only be refunded once received back. This is known as a forced return and as such, postage costs will not be refunded.
The refund will be to the source originally used to pay.
If you receive a Free Gift
In the event that an order is cancelled - if you receive a free gift when purchasing an item, the free gift must also be returned along with the item purchased.
With regret, for hygiene reasons, earrings cannot be returned/refunded, unless faulty. Please take care to check details of sizes, etc. given on the website before you place your order.
I regret that custom/bespoke goods (where jewellery is made to order to a design agreed between you and I) cannot be returned or refunded, unless faulty.
For any items judged to be damaged due to improper use or when reasonable care has not been taken by you, I reserve the right to seek recompense from you for damages. This does not affect your right to a full refund.
As silver naturally tarnishes over time and this can be accelerated when exposed to chemicals, cosmetics etc. jewellery is not classed as faulty if tarnished.
Jewellery by Linda, Bronte View, Hebden Road, Haworth, West Yorkshire BD22 8RQ.
I am passionate about bringing you quality jewellery which you can treasure. Jewellery you purchase from Jewellery by Linda is, where specified, hallmarked by the Sheffield Assay Office, whatever the weight of silver I have used. In the case of earrings, one of a pair is hallmarked.
Precious and semi-precious gemstones and cultured pearls are used to create the jewellery – all sourced from reputable suppliers.
Fine silver and sterling silver jewellery handmade by me may include pre-made components such as chains, charms or clasps and similar. I always use fine silver and sterling silver components sourced from reputable UK suppliers.
Product Descriptions & Photographs
I have taken great care to show as accurately as possible the colours of the jewellery and gemstones in the photographs. You may notice slight colour variations when you see the piece at home - the colour will vary depending on the settings of the monitor you use.
The photographs are taken 'close up' to show the detail and quality of each piece of jewellery. Please ensure that you check the sizes given for each item in the product description for a correct interpretation of the scale.
For unique pieces the photographed item is the item you will receive. For limited edition and other pieces the photograph shown on the product page is to show the design you will receive.
Please contact me if you require more information or have any other queries.

Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
