Delivery Charges - Complimentary UK Postage

Postage within the UK is complimentary for goods over £50.00 (excluding postage).

For UK orders totalling goods under £50.00 (excluding postage), postage is charged at £4.80.

I will usually send your jewellery to you by Royal Mail Tracked 24hr (with Signature) service.

I am only posting to UK addresses at the moment.

Shipping costs to countries outside of the UK (when available) will be charged to you at cost and you will receive a separate Paypal invoice for this charge which is to be paid prior to shipping.  Please contact me if you wish to know the cost in advance.

Gifting

I am happy to post directly to a third person if you wish to send an item as a gift.  I can include a free note with your message. Please contact me with details of what you would like to say on your message.

Delivery Times

My aim is to despatch to you within 3 working days of purchase.

If you need an order by a specific date then please contact me and I will try my best to accommodate you.

If for any reason a delay is anticipated I will contact you by the contact method you provide with your order.

I take special care to ensure that your jewellery reaches you safely, and in a timely manner. I really want you to have your jewellery as soon as possible so please ensure that the delivery details you provide with your order are accurate as I cannot be held responsible for non-delivery of orders when incorrect address details have been provided. Orders will be sent to the address provided on the order and refunds will not be given if the address provided is incorrect.

PLEASE NOTE: I can not be held responsible for any delay in receipt of your jewellery once I have posted it. Please make sure you order in plenty of time especially during holiday periods.

Made to Order items - are generally dispatched within 5-10 working days. However, this is dependent on material availability and need to hallmark etc. A more accurate dispatch time will be given to you via the contact method you provide in our communication regarding the individual order.

You will be kept up to date with the progress of your order through email. If you need an order by a specific date then please contact me and I will try my best to accommodate you.

I'm not taking 'made to order' commissions just now but there are lots of goodies listed in the Jewellery by Linda online shop.

Bespoke/Custom Orders

I am unable to take bespoke/custom orders at the moment.

For future orders of bespoke/custom jewellery please contact me to discuss your requirements and agree details. Bespoke/custom jewellery is subject to a deposit the amount of which will be agreed during our initial contact or shortly thereafter, and which will be non-refundable. Payment of the balance will be required prior to me shipping your jewellery.

Where full payment for bespoke/custom items is not received within 5 working days of sending you confirmation that the jewellery is ready for despatch, I will be entitled to assume that the order is cancelled. In such case, I will retain the deposit to cover my costs, including materials. Where non-payment of the full amount is due to particular circumstances then, wholly at my discretion, I may keep the item until such time as you are ready to finalise payment.

For bespoke/custom orders you will be able to cancel your order, by emailing me, up to the point when the deposit is paid; once the deposit is paid and I have confirmed receipt of the deposit we will be in agreement that I have begun the design/creation process. If you do decide to cancel after I have begun the design/creation process then the initial deposit is non-refundable.

Please contact me if you require more information or have any other queries.

Wrapping

All of your jewellery will be beautifully packaged, as shown on each individual product page.

I aim to recycle outer packaging wherever possible. Your jewellery may therefore arrive in recycled outer protective packaging. Inside, however, your jewellery will be beautifully wrapped, as shown on each individual product page. I am working tirelessly towards sustainable packaging for all orders – this is an ongoing process.

I am only posting to UK addresses at the moment.

whom you would like it sent with their full address in the notes section of the check out. Every piece will be beautifully gift wrapped and I can include a handwritten note with your personal message too.

Product Descriptions & Photographs

I have taken great care to show as accurately as possible the colours of the jewellery and gemstones in the photographs. You may notice slight colour variations when you see the piece at home - the colour will vary depending on the settings of the monitor you use.

The photographs are taken 'close up' to show the detail and quality of each piece of jewellery. Please ensure that you check the sizes given for each item in the product description for a correct interpretation of the scale.

For unique pieces the photographed item is the item you will receive.  For limited edition and other pieces the photograph shown on the product page is to show the design you will receive.

Safety Notice

Due to the potential choking hazard of the small gemstones/components my jewellery is not recommended for children.

Gemstones & Components

Due to the nature of genuine gemstones, each is different and you may not receive the actual piece of jewellery which has been photographed for the listing on the website.  I try my utmost to select the best quality gemstones and components from reputable suppliers. Due to the nature of the gemstones, some may contain small inclusions.

Please contact me if you require more information or have any other queries.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel an order then please contact me as soon as possible and before the item is dispatched. If it is not a custom order then a full refund will be issued, if it is a custom order that work has already been started on then a partial refund will be processed. If the order has already been dispatched then a refund will be issued when the piece has been returned in accordance with the details in the Jewellery by Linda returns policy.

GDPR Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Jewellery by Linda or its related sites and services.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that I do not own or control.

1. Information I Collect
To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorised the payment provider to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order of jewellery, for example), if you contact me directly.

2. Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It
I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
as needed, to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list;
if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law;
and as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.

Business transfers. If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.

Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.

4. Data Retention
I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 4 years.

5. Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU
I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction.

6. Your Rights
If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:

Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.

Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.

Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.

Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.

7. How to Contact Me
For purposes of EU data protection law, I, Linda Bonnington, am the data controller of your personal information. If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact me at linda@jewellerybylinda.co.uk
